A Health & Safety committee will oversee the development and rollout of a new program ‘Stay with Peace of Mind’. This will build on existing health and safety regimens to implement heightened sanitisation and hygiene measures.

Every Anantara property will have a ‘Guest Guardian’ responsible for internal audits based on a series of rigid guidelines. The guidelines are compliant with several expert advisories including Ecolab and Diversey. These two firms are global leaders in cleaning and hygiene technology.

In addition, all hotels will fully adhere to health and safety measures as per local government and the World Health Organisation.

Enhanced levels of sanitation

All hotels will implement enhanced levels of sanitation and use Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved disinfectants against COVID-19 and other bacteria; this includes lobbies, reception, fitness centres, pool areas and guest rooms.

Enhanced hygiene measures will include the electrostatic spray technology for a higher level of coverage of surface disinfection. Hotels will also provide hand sanitisers and extra measures such as disinfecting hotel key cards, to ensure guests’ health and safety throughout their stay.

The guidelines will extend beyond guest areas into all back of house operations; from supply chain deliveries to culinary preparation areas and housekeeping procedures.

An Anantara airport representative will greet guests who book airport limousine transfers and then escort them to their private vehicle. Complying with COVID-19 protection standards, guests’ luggage will be stowed in the limousine by the airport representative. Meanwhile the driver will wear a face mask and will not handle luggage.

The representative will collect any pending guest details required to facilitate a smooth and speedy check-in; so that upon arrival at the hotel, guests can complete check-in formalities without delay.

Holistic programs for wellness and health

Fitness and holistic classes will be adapted for guests’ optimum wellbeing. Private sessions in the gym, as well as Yoga and Pilates, are available for individuals and small groups to adhere with safe distancing.

Dining outlets will operate to the highest health and safety standards. For a la carte breakfasts, restaurants will be in compliance with social distancing guidelines. After guests settle at their table, the culinary team will carefully prepare every order of fresh and nutritious food ‘a la minute’ and serve it at the table. Wellness cuisine will include immune booster programs, with specialist Wellness Chefs preparing fortifying meals and juices.

For selected boutiques within or nearby the hotel, guests may also organise personal shopping times that can be booked in advance. This also allows the privilege of a personalised experience, with a limited number of other shoppers in the outlet at the same time. For guests wishing to visit selected nearby shops, limousine transfers can also be arranged.

In addition, Anantara is working with Siam Ocean Technology to introduce the latest Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system technology.

In fact, Siam Ocean Technology offers state-of-the-art air filtration and temperature controls that provide outstanding air quality. The HVAC will roll out in Anantara properties in Thailand, then in Asia and beyond. This also ensures that guests breathe the healthiest quality air, along with the eco-assurance of exceptional benefits for the environment.
